Pictures from Northern Illinois Horse Fest 2006 Clinics

Juli demonstrates long lining a yearling with the reins attached to the halter, and the outside rein draped around his hind end to desensitize his hindquarters. This exercise will also give the youngster a head start in steering.

During her Equine Behavior clinic, Juli demonstrates how to hold the lead correctly with a little slack, and a soft feel.

Juli coaches a handler to relax her hold on the lead so that she gives the right feel to the horse.

Here, Juli helps a handler teach a horse to lower his head on cue, one of the three acts of submission.
